I’ve been struggling with journaling using the free Apple notes for 9 years. I almost wanted to cry after discovering this app!! Hello & Thank you for your review! Can you please contact us by sending us an email to so that we can learn more about your needs? We got some ideas for both of your points but would like to know if they match your requirements before we start implementing. This isn’t a huge deal, but it would just be a nice little convinience to be able to click the date and select a new one. Right now, I don’t see a way to change the date on an existing entry, I only see a way to create a brand new entry. 2) I write entries right before I go to bed, which is sometimes after midnight. I am worried that I’ll want to switch in a month or two and don’t want to go through manually transfering every day’s journal. There are just a couple missing things that are keeping me from switching over: 1) I love this app, but I can’t bring myself to commit to it if it doesn’t have the ability to export to a format that other apps use. The thing I was looking for forever was the ability to specify a template for new entries, so thanks so much for that! And as others have said, the simplicity of the app realy makes it perfect for journaling. I love that you use markdown but format it in a great looking way even while writing. This is the cleanest nicest diary app I have seen.

I love the pink cursor that is built into the darkest theme, but I prefer the second-darkest theme. One idea that would make this *perfect* for me, would be if the devs added the option to choose your cursor color as well as the theme. There are enough options that I can feel like I’m customizing the app to my liking, but not too many options such that I feel overwhelmed and distracted by features rather than what the app is intended for - writing. And I really appreciate the added protection of the password. I love how there’s a little preview for each entry, and the themes, and the search - I just really like all of the features and how they’re neatly tucked away. And I’ve finally found the one! I love how you can really simplify the look of the screen to help you stay focused on your writing, yet lots of useful little features are just a click or two away.
